I am a filmmaker and writer and have been a part of various award winning projects.
Born and brought up in Guwahati Assam,
35 years old Ameet Prajapati is graduated
in Mass Communication, with
specialisation in Cinema from Delhi.
Born in a Rajasthani family he made his
first short film “THE COLORS OF
PRIDE” staring Late Sir Tom Alter, which
was based on a real life incident of 1845
The film won best short film award in
Jaipur International Film Festival - 2012.
Screened at 14th MAMI – 2012
Followed by the success of The Colors of Pride,
Ameet Prajapati made two more short films “SANGRAH”
which was screened at CANNAS Short film corner - 2014
and “THE COFFIN MAKER” (Listed in top 3 at Brahmaputra
Valley Film Festival) recently screened on National
Television Channel NDTV Prime.
“SANGRAH” gave Ameet Prajapati an
opportunity to meet Mr. Satish Kaushik and this
is how Ameet Prajapati got his debut feature
film, “SCHOOL CHALEGA..?” As a Writer
Director. Producer CFSI (Children Films Society
India), Executive Producer Satish Kaushik.
SCHOOL CHALEGA - won the best feature film
award in - ICFFJ. And screened globally as well.
School Chalega Is a story of friendship
between the two odds of the society, a dumb &
deaf boy Goonj and a street smart boy Kaali. It is
a breath taking crime drama.
Completed screenplay “AARTI” director Satish Kaushik, the story is based on a real
incident with the backdrop of terrorism, staring Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao.
